For second year Spain uses MySpace to start its national selection for Eurovision 2009, Moscow, Russia.This innovative way of songs’ selection was introduced by Spain last year, and it seems that it worked. This time MySpace returns, but the procedure will be slightly changed. Today http://www.myspace.com/eurovision2009 was officially launched for the Spanish songs’ submissions. The 5 member jury will also submit their participations followed by a presentation which they will submit under the Jury category of http://www.myspace.com/eurovision2009 The public vote is not going to be conducted in MySpace, but in TVE’s, the national broadcaster’s, website http://www.rtve.es/television/eurovision2009 to avoid malicious actions of hackers, just like it happened last year. Submissions begin today and will last almost one month until December 17th. On 19th December TVE will announce the candidates and the voting will begin and will ast for exactly one month, until 19th January 2009. The next day 20th January TVE will publish the names of the 50 semifinalists who will go on the televised semi finals and conclusively to the final in February. ‘Salvemos Eurovisión’ was the title of last year’s selection, which was won by Rodolfo Chikilicuatre with the song ‘Baila el chiki chiki’, which got the 16th place in Eurovision 2008. |
