Sweden: The Melodifestivalen 2009 songs and authors

SVT, the Swedish broadcaster, announced today the 28 participating songs and their authors of Melodifestivalen 2009, the Swedish selection for Eurovision Song Contest.
Out of 3.440 songs that were submitted to SVT, 32 will compete in four semi finals, a 2nd chance round (four wild cards) and the final of Melodifestivalen.

07 March - 2nd chance round - Himmelstalundshallen, Norrköping
14 March - Melodifestivalen final - Globen, Stockholm
Last year Sweden participated in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Hero', performed by Charlotte Perrelli.
